Professional School-age Associate Credential

Program Description

The Professional School-age Associate (PSA) credential is designed for those individuals who want to advance their career in after-school or school-age programs. The PSA promotes quality education and service to youth and parents by providing guidelines and standards for school-age professionals.

PSA Eligibility Requirements

Candidates for the Professional School-age Associate (PSA) credential must meet or exceed the following eligibility requirements:

  • Be 18 years of age or older
  • Hold a high school diploma or equivalent
  • Have 1 year experience (no fewer than 480 hours) working with youth within the past 3 years
  • Have 120 clock hours of formal education/training within the past 3 years
  • Hold a valid First Aid card
  • Hold a valid Infant/Child/Adult CPR card
  • Be a member of a School-age organization
