PSA Professional Development Requirement

The professional development requirement for PSA Candidates to have 120 clock hours of formal education may be met through college classes/courses, in-service trainings, conferences, workshops, and on-line or traditional courses. Formal education hours can be credit or noncredit. Non-credit hours must have Continuing Education Units (CEU). CEUs are accepted from the following agencies: the Commission for Professional Certifications and Credentials (CPCAC) and the International Association for Continuing Education and Training (IACET).

There are seven competency goals, 13 core knowledge areas and 10 content areas. Candidates must complete a minimum of 10 hours in each content area.
